Albabtain Academy for Arabic Poetry and the College of Basic Education at the General Authority for Applied Education have signed a partnership agreement.

Albabtain: The partnership with "General Authority for Applied Education" is significant and has come at the appropriate timing.

Al-Anzi: Signing a partnership agreement with the Albabtain Academy is indeed advantageous.

In conjunction with the celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language and within the framework of cultural and academic collaboration, as well as the extension of bridges of communication with institutions and events that focus on culture in the country, Dr. Fereih Al-Anzi, Dean of the College of Basic Education at the General Organization for Applied Education, received on Tuesday, December 20th, the poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, President of the Board of Trustees of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation and President of the Albabtain Academy for Arab Poetry. During the meeting, friendly discussions were held and the prospects of future cooperation and partnership in organizing courses and programs by the Academy were explored.

On this occasion, the Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Anzi, stated that the signing of a partnership agreement with the Academy is indeed an asset and a credit to the college's administration as well as to its Arabic Language Department. He described the visit of the poet Abdulaziz Albabtain to the college building as historic, expressing his hope that the collaboration would extend to broader horizons. He also revealed that the cooperation agreement that was signed had been a dream that has now become a reality.

The poet Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain remarked, "Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation has shown significant interest in Arabic poetry and the Arabic language due to their connection with our history and culture." He further explained that the Foundation has established a dedicated pathway with the mission of organizing educational and training courses in Kuwait, as well as in various cities and capitals across Arab and non-Arab regions.

As part of these efforts, the establishment of the "Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chairs" for teaching the Arabic language and its skills stands out as an initiative that aims to preserve the linguistic and poetic heritage in this era of globalization. He emphasized that the College of Basic Education is a fundamental partner in serving the Arabic language, affirming that this partnership was essential and timely.

Dr. Fatimah Al-Azmi, the head of the Arabic Language Department at the college, welcomed the poet Abdulaziz Albabtain to the institution, acknowledging his significant role in serving culture in general and the Arabic language in particular. She highlighted his ongoing efforts and expressed her hope that this partnership would expand to include those interested in the Arabic language and its literature in other educational institutions. She described the agreement as crucial, especially since it coincided with the celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Albabtain Academy for Arabic Poetry and the College, aiming to collaborate in organizing specialized academic programs offered by the Academy. The signing took place in the presence of Dr. Fatimah Al-Azmi, the head of the Arabic Language Department at the college.

It is worth mentioning that Albabtain Academy for Arabic Poetry commenced its activities in January 2017 by organizing poetry creativity training courses in Kuwait. The Academy also conducted specialized Arabic language lessons for non-native speakers, including foreign diplomatic missions residing in the State of Kuwait.
