Dr. Ibrahim Sa’afeen

Born in 1942 in Al-Faluja.

Obtained Bachelor's degree in Arabic language and literature - Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, 1966.

Master's degree in Arts (modern literature) - Cairo University, 1972.

Ph.D. in Arts (modern literature) - Cairo University, 1978 (with honors).

Worked as a professor at Yarmouk University from 1978 to 1990.

Worked as a visiting professor at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville from 1984 to 1985.

Worked as a professor (sabbatical leave) at King Saud University from 1985 to 1986.

Worked as a professor at the University of Jordan.

Member of the Jordanian Writers Association from 1981 to 1993.

President of the Jordanian Writers Association branch in Irbid from 1982 to 1984.

Corresponding member of the Indian Scientific Academy in 1983.

Member of the Board of Trustees of the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Prize for Poetic Creativity.

He has authored over 32 works in various literary genres (poetry, novels, criticism, theater), including:

"The Development of Modern Arabic Novel in the Levant" in 1980

"The Revival and Heritage School", Beirut in 1987

"The Emergence of the Novel and Theater in Palestine until 1948", Amman in 1985

"History of Arabic Literature", Amman in 1985.

He has written several plays, including:

"Nights of Joyful Sun" and "The Road to Jerusalem."

He has conducted numerous literary, artistic, and critical research studies.
